an old sentence that comes back to me reading this is "never let anything leave your office without your brand on it" from stationary to vehicles and even staff in uniform's around the grounds is a must,
In reference to email signatures and best practice reagrding this, i have seen many a signature with logo's and banners etc plastered all across the bottom(s) of them and links taking you here there and every where.
Ensure you make your signature suitable for both HTML email and plain text so use word to create your HTML version but check this / paste this into notepad as well to see how this will appear to people who only receive emails in plain text.
Alot of the big corporate co's only use plain text due to the volumes of email's passing through their servers every day.
I currently have a very simplistic yet to the point signture with just a mild hint of colour but no images, banners or animated graphics etc just the details my recipient is going to need to contact me after reading my communication to them.
Something along the lines of
Best Regards
