A day in the life of a AP Supervisor/UKBN Director

A day in the life of a AP Supervisor/UKBN Director

Postby Kerri Carrier » 22 Nov 2009, 18:15

Thought I'd join in.

6.45am Alarm goes off but of course I snooze it, thats why they created the button :D
7.00am Drag myself out of bed and attempt to wake the teenager (not Chris, he has already jumped out of bed and is already thinking of his plans for the day)
7.05am Breakfast time, lovingly created by Chris, usually consists of Marmite on toast and a cup of tea
7.35am Drag myself into the shower and get ready for my first job
8.30am Arrive at work (well hopefully) Chris is always telling me off for my time keeping
8.35am COFFEE
8.40am - 13.00pm Open my emails and try to resolve them, invoices, payments, queries, trying not to moan about every department other than Accounts, meetings, more coffee, more queries. I think you get the gist. Oh yes and inbetween all this BBM Chris and emailing him to see how his day is going
13.00pm Yay get to meet Chris for lunch
13.30pm Then another 3.5 hours of pretty much the same as I did in the morning, unless one of our suppliers puts us on stop and then i get to run round like a blue ***** fly trying to clear up everyone elses mess  But I do love it actually
17.00pm Finish the first job and then home to do my real role
17.15pm Coffee and then running round picking up the random objects throughout the house that Chris and Dan have left for me to clear up
18.00pm Try and create something for tea while Chris and Dan either gang up on me or on each other
18.45pm Dan escapes the house to do whatever teenagers do, Chris is still on the MAC only having a break for tea, now I must start my second job or should that be my third!
19.00pm - 21.00pm Facebook, networkingNow, checking emails, Twitter, random thoughts and ideas of how to raise the profile of UKBN and Kipfx ect...
21.00pm - 21.30pm trying to get Chris to come off the MAC and watch T.V or just chill out, have to say most of the time this doesn't work
21.30pm - Midnight Bouncing from the T.V to the laptop/MAC

This does only relate to Monday through to Thursday as the weekend mostly consists of work (UKBN & Kipfx) , coffee, eating and maybe fitting the odd alcoholic beverage in ( quite a few actually )

This really made me chuckle, mostly because it's scarily accurate!

 the best thing about being a credit manager is being able to put customers on hold and wait for the return call of panic.

Kerri,

Me and my partner can relate to you and your Chris regarding the below quote, similar time frames as well, tends to be 8am through to 12 midnight easy and as you will see from some of my posts on NetworkingNow.co.uk even as late as 4:30am.

May I say also; your doing a grand job with UKBN if you dont mind me saying and Networking Now will be a fine addition to the global network of Forums for small to medium businesses out there.

I will always Envy the mothers of the world, as to how they manage work, personal life, and additional self run business(es) etc, how you all manage this is beyond me.

Thank you, I'm not sure how I fit it all in  , but Chris does push/drive me. He has enough energy when it comes to work for 3 people.

Sometimes its amazing what you can get done and then when you actually put it down on paper it makes to say "WOW", can't believe I do all that.

Depends what you want in life, and i want it ALL!!!
