This is a bit of a novel idea...

This is a bit of a novel idea...

I came across this website today and think the idea behind it is brilliant! I can't see that I would ever need the services of an air traffic controller  but there are a lot of things on there that I could use.

I love the idea because it isn't just offering handyman services, these are professional services. I guess it follows on from my thread on outsourcing.

So, I am intrigued. Tell me, what would you offer as your service (try and keep it clean ;) ) and what sort of thing from their list would you be tempted to use. (you need to click on the search button on the right of the page to see what is on offer)

It just seemed to me that the two sites, theirs and this forum, seem to complement each other, it's all about sharing what you know.

(Goes off to consider what service to offer and in exchange for what!)

I would be interested in a job swap for the day within the field of Event Management; I think Glastonbury might be a little to much for my first project so any smaller opportunities would be considered! he he......

In return I can offer practical skills within the field of graphics, web design and deployment, SEO, Online Marketing, printing services and advice on using most Microsoft Office programmes.

The concept of the site Helen is interesting as we started exactly this idea just within a company I used to be employed by as a motivational tactic and it worked rather well, we would get the advertising and marketing team trying to managed the accounts side of things, the sales staff doing the cleaning or running around with post etc, and the account ladies trying to sell.

It was very humorous at times and actually made our customers more interested in us and what we as a company where doing and i bet you they will never forget the company as a result, in a good way.
