when to take your company forward

when to take your company forward

Postby maxattitude » 29 Jan 2010, 22:12

This year is going to be interesting for me, i've started talks to sell one of my businesses. its a busy process deciding who will take over from me.
This will leave me with two businesses left, one that pays the bills and one that i want to grow further.
When is the right time to move a business forward.
This business is my first as a business service provider, it's actually a little out of my comfort zone, but i love it,wish i was better at selling myself, but i love helping others to achieve the same success that i've been fortunate to have found.
So i'm at a stage when i think its time to move my coaching empire on further.
When do you think its time to move forward in business and push it to the next level, do you wait until or there or push forward to try and achieve the higher level. i suppose its all about risk taking.
Nobody gets any where without taking a risk.

Good to hear things are going well, Colin. Sounds like a hectic year in front of you.

I think the answer depends very much on the individual concerned. There must be plenty of successful businesses out there who are quite content and no wish to push further on; but would rather concentrate on keeping their businesses on a level footing.

On the other hand, you'll find people like Branson and Sugar who will never, ever, stop pushing on.

To each his own.
