Using Linked In

Postby seanstevens » 08 Nov 2009, 15:34

Have been using Linked In for the past year. I'm finding it to be a very good networking site. With plenty of groups to join you can get some very good information on subjects that interest you and contribute to give people a real insight into you and your services.

I personally do not use it to find business, but rather to make business contacts who could become useful in the future.

Hi Sean

I wouldn't mind adding you but after being a member of LinkedIn for more than five years, I've stil not worked that out. LinkedIn would be very beneficial if it was easier to use.

Here's me http://www.linkedin.com/inviteFromProfi ... Ballantyne I think... :?

Oh, you could also set up a group on Linked In in the name of the forum, might get some extra members from there. Also post links to conversations that go on at the forum so people can link back.

I'm on there...not too keen on connecting unless people really want to connect.

DM me. I have connected with a small handfull...don't need millions, but happy to connect if there is a reason. Networking is good in doses.

Realise I only tend to use it just to keep tabs on old colleagues. Mainly so I can allow myself an occasional smug grin as I reconise faces still trapped in Corporate Land :)
