Commission only sales people

Commission only sales people

Postby Styleloft » 10 Feb 2010, 14:45

Hi everyone I hope I can gain some help with this matter.
I run a start up company that is in a very high growth industry. Iphone application development.

I want to employ commission only sales people that can work from home.
I am prepared to pay 30% of anything that they bring in.

I am also prepared to offer a 10% revenue share option on any deal that they bring in on revenue share which would be paid monthly on the apps they have sourced.

Businesses are popping up all over the app store now and its certainly not a hard sell.

My problem at the moment is I am managing a lot of the back end stuff including developers, figures, appointments here there and everywhere.

This could be quite fruitful for anyone that would like to get involved.
Ive read all about offering retainers but I spent 2 weeks when I first started firing out a few emails etc and got 14 customers so I know from experience this is fairly straight forward.

If anyone could offer any advice as to where I might find such people that would be great.

If it worked out and they were good I would then think about full time employment.

The great thing about this is they can spend as much or little time as they want with it. At the end of the day they will get out of it what they put into it.

Many thanks in advance
Craig

Why not consider looking at franchising it. Maybe offer a ready made reseller e-shop of template app's and custom app design services?

I mean I know nothing about creating Iphone App's but I can bet you that they will sell if presented well. They are the current rage, Kip is testament to this, he just recently invested in this area!

I mean if you’re providing the product, a franchisee could simply provide the face and information to the prospects.

I may be willing to consider something in this field if I knew a lot more about the product it's self, can not sell what I do not understand or know, or at least I would not be willing too, I like to be able to reassure my customers of my knowledge of the products or services I provide, I would need to know not so much about the iphone or what an app is; more the limitations, capabilities and restrictions etc, then I would certainly look to put something together.

I will have a little think and do a little research in to this and may well get in touch.
