Photographs on Business cards?

Photographs on Business cards?

I'd be interested to get feedback or thoughts about including your photograph on business cards.

Hate it? Love it? Done it? Gonna do it?

No prizes for best response!

I think it is a great idea, pay £30-£40 to get a pro headshot first though, I quite like the half face jobbies.

It is a great way off adding a personal touch to something you leave behind, some cultures believe a photo captures your soul, so why not leave it for clients on a business card!

It's not something I would do, would hate to scare potential clients off! Now if I looked like a super model perhaps I would have given you a different answer!

Helen

From your website and your postings on this forum, I assume you're a successful business woman. Now, if I can assume that many of your clients have actually seen the real you, why do you think they would be put off by your photo?

Supermodels and business brains don't always go hand in hand, by the way.

Ah, but I am a Virtual Assistant so many of my Clients have never seen the real me!

I still am not convinced by a photo on a business card, yet I do understand its importance in terms of social networking.

You would really have to convince me of the benefits as I feel the space would be better utilised for me in terms of advertising my list of services

I've put on a bit of weight recently so would require a business A5 leaflet to put my photo on it, it sounds a bit like a american estate agent sort of thing. contact chuck ( picture of slimely face) if you like this property. i'm not convince don';t think its very british, i like the business cards with minimal details on it, phone number website email thats it.

kind regards

Definitely a 'must' for our American cousins - particularly in real estate, MLM, & marketing. I agree it's not a 'British' thing, but you have to hand it to the Yanks when it comes to selling. They know what works for them.

Would you think any less of a new contact if they had their photo on their card?

It depends what they looked like to be honest, as you say it is such an American thing I would think they were a bit cheesy if they added photo, its a bit like when you get a CV with a photo, it just doesn't feel right somehow.

I would much rather receive a different business card such as the one Kip has just had done, that would stand out much more with me.
